Properties Poly-Urethane (PU):

Polyurethane, PU or PUR for short, is a very versatile plastic. Depending on the production process, it can be brittle and hard, but also soft and elastic. It is therefore used as an all-rounder in many products that determine our daily lives.

The properties of PU, from elastic to stiff, are determined not least by the number of cells in the polyurethane. In the case of a foam structure, PU is extremely wear-resistant and is therefore used, for example, as a protective coating in pipes or for the transport of bulk goods. However, if the structure is closed and compact, it can also be used for food applications.

Another advantage of PU in this case is that it does not contain plasticizers, unlike the otherwise commonly used PVC.

Even under extreme weather conditions and strong UV radiation, polyurethane has good aging stability, good resilience to reverse bending stresses and is easy to clean - ideal conditions for use as a coating on high-quality NARVIFLEX BGK ENDLESS BELTS.
