Cellular rubber Black EPDM 120 kg/m³, approx. 10 to 15 sh A

The cell rubber has a closed cell structure, making it suitable for sealing against water, air and dust (thicknesses in stock: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 15 and 20 mm, both self-adhesive and non-self-adhesive)

Cellular rubber Black EPDM 120 kg/m³, approx. 10 to 15 sh A

Characteristics

This material is an EPDM cellular rubber and the best-selling product in our range of cellular rubbers. This is because it is a very versatile and high-quality material. Thanks to the raw material EPDM, it has excellent weather-resistant properties. Influences of UV radiation and ozone will not affect this cellular rubber! Therefore it can be used both indoors and outdoors.

This cellular rubber has been extensively tested under various conditions and temperatures. For example, it can be used at temperatures as low as -40°C and 80°C. This means that this EPDM cellular rubber can not only be used in the Benelux and surrounding countries, but is also suitable for use in Scandinavian countries. Even in these challenging (weather) conditions, the material will last a long time, thanks to its very good aging resistance. This makes it a sustainable solution for your applications.

The cell rubber has a closed cell structure, making it suitable for sealing against water, air and dust. It will not age faster or stain upon contact with water.

Despite its closed cell structure, it is easy to press and has good mechanical properties. Once the material has been pressed, it will return to its original shape.

Thicknesses in Stock

  • 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 15 and 20 mm, both self-adhesive and non-self-adhesive

  • This material can be thickened very well, e.g. 2x20 mm glued = thickness 40 mm

Forms

  • (Sealing) tape on a roll, with or without self-adhesive

  • Roll or cut roll

  • Like blocks

  • Like discs

  • As rings (seal)

  • As rings with bolt holes (seal)

  • As square or rectangular seals

  • Applied to conveyor belts and timing belts

Applications

  • Because our material is air, dust and waterproof and has good weather resistance, it is often used as a draft strip and sealing tape. This can be used, for example, to seal cracks in aluminum and steel windows, partition walls and in the electrical industry.

  • This EPDM cellular rubber also offers the right durable seal for airtight construction.

  • When we process the material into flat cell rubber rings, these are used as a sealing ring or filling ring. These can serve as an easy seal for screw holes.

  • Another possible application of our material concerns absorbing vibrations, for example under conveyor belts, and providing shock absorption. For example, it is used as an acoustic insulation tape in timber frame construction.
